چکیده

In equity and foreign exchange markets the risk-neutral dynamics of the underlying asset are commonly represented by stochastic volatility models with jumps. In this paper we consider a dense subclass of such models and develop analytically tractable formulae for the prices of a range of first-generation exotic derivatives. We provide closed form formulae for the Fourier transforms of vanilla and forward starting option prices as well as a formula for the slope of the implied volatility smile for large strikes. A simple explicit approximation formula for the variance swap price is given. The prices of volatility swaps and other volatility derivatives are given as a one-dimensional integral of an explicit function. Analytically tractable formulae for the Laplace transform (in maturity) of the double-no-touch options and the Fourier-Laplace transform (in strike and maturity) of the double knock-out call and put options are obtained. The proof of the latter formulae is based on extended matrix Wiener-Hopf factorisation results. We also provide convergence results.

Stochastic Models of Energy Commodity Prices and Their Applications: Mean-reversion with Jumps and Spikes

In this paper, we present several mean-reversion jump di usion models to describe energy commodity spot prices. We incorporate multiple jumps, regime-switching and stochastic volatility in these models. Prices of various energy commodity derivatives are obtained under each model. We show how the electricity derivatives can be used to evaluate generation and transmission capacity. We also show f...

Pricing Exotic Variance Swaps under 3/2-Stochastic Volatility Models

We consider pricing of various types of exotic discrete variance swaps, like the gamma swaps and corridor swaps, under the 3/2-stochastic volatility models with jumps. The class of stochastic volatility models (SVM) that use a constant-elasticity-of-variance (CEV) process for the instantaneous variance exhibit nice analytical tractability when the CEV parameter takes just a few special values (...

Moment Methods for Exotic Volatility Derivatives

The latest generation of volatility derivatives goes beyond variance and volatility swaps and probes our ability to price realized variance and sojourn times along bridges for the underlying stock price process. In this paper, we give an operator algebraic treatment of this problem based on Dyson expansions and moment methods and discuss applications to exotic volatility derivatives. The method...

Single Name Credit Default Swaptions Meet Single Sided Jump Models

Credit risk modeling is about modeling losses. These losses are typically coming unexpectedly and triggered by shocks. So any process modeling the stochastic nature of losses should reasonable include jumps. In this paper we review a few jump driven models for the valuation of CDSs and show how under these dynamic models also pricing of (exotic) derivatives on single name CDSs is possible. More...

Saddlepoint approximation methods for pricing derivatives on discrete realized variance

We consider the saddlepoint approximation methods for pricing derivatives whose payoffs depend on the discrete realized variance of the underlying price process of a risky asset. Most of the earlier pricing models of variance products and volatility derivatives use the quadratic variation approximation as the continuous limit of the discrete realized variance. However, the corresponding discret...
